Jeroen Habets / Simon Little
For our November session, we will be hosting Simon Little and Jeroen Habets on Thursday.
Jeroen Habets, MD, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Neurology Resident at Charité University Hospital. Dr. Jeroen Habets is researching brain wave patterns underlying levodopa-induced dyskinesia in Parkinson’s disease, aiming to identify biomarkers that could guide targeted, noninvasive magnetic stimulation therapies to reduce these movement side effects. The title of his talk will be “Redefining dyskinesia as a target for adaptive DBS in Parkinson’s Disease”
Simon Little, MBBS, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Neurology at UCSF Weill Institute for Neuroscience. Dr. Simon Little is a neurologist specializing in movement disorders like Parkinson’s disease, tremor and dystonia. His clinical and research work focuses on advancing deep brain stimulation to improve diagnosis and treatment for patients whose symptoms don’t respond to other therapies. The title of his talk will be “Beta and Beyond: Biomarker-Driven Adaptive Neuromodulation in Movement Disorders.”
