For our December session, we will be hosting Isaiah Kletenik and Ben Shofty on Thursday.
Isaiah Kletenik, MD, is an Associate Neurologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School. He specializes in cognitive and behavioral neurology, with research focused on how disruptions in brain circuits and connectivity give rise to changes in memory, perception, self-awareness, and behavior. The title of his talk will be “Visual Imagination Lost: Mapping acquired aphantasia.”
Ben Shofty, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor and Functional Neurosurgeon at the University of Utah. He focuses on neuromodulation for psychiatric and neurological disorders, using brain-network and advanced imaging approaches to study cognition and develop new interventions for conditions such as OCD, depression, and PTSD. The title of his talk will be “Human brain networks and creative thinking.”
