Caroline Nettekoven / Mac Shine

For our June session, we will host Caroline Nettekoven and Mac Shine on Thursday.

Caroline Nettekoven, DPhil, is a Wellcome Early Career Fellow at the University of Oxford whose research focuses on understanding how different regions of the human brain contribute to cognition and behavior, with a particular emphasis on the cerebellum. Her work combines neuroimaging, brain stimulation, computational modeling, and personalized ultrasound stimulation to investigate the functional organization of the human brain. The title of her talk will be “How can we best reveal the functional organization of the human brain?”

Mac Shine, MBBS, PhD, is a systems neurobiologist and Robinson Fellow at the University of Sydney whose research focuses on the neural mechanisms underlying cognition, attention, and conscious awareness. His work integrates functional neuroimaging, neuroscience, and complex systems approaches to understand how large-scale brain networks and arousal systems support adaptive behavior in health and disease. The title of his talk will be “Magic that Works: Moving Systems Neuroscience Beyond the Map.”

Recording will be posted here!
